On the 15th of each month we feature a new and magnificent wedding! This is more than just a weekly "best site" contest with a link to the couple's wed-site. We will take you through the entire wedding process...from the planning, to the actual event, and everything in between...including details which made each big day special.

Never knew I could feel like this... Annie and Don met through the internet in 1999. They exchanged offline messages starting that September, but didn't directly talk to each other online until early October. Neither one of them considered having an internet relationship - or long distance relationship - at all. However, Annie caught Don's eyes the very first moment they met face to face. Don explains that she was very friendly and had a very soft, nice voice to listen to. Annie needed time for their relationship to develop, but for Don it was love at first sight.
Like I've never seen the sky before... Don and Annie went through the normal ups and downs of any relationship, but they started to talk about marriage two months after they met each other. From the beginning Don knew that he was going to marry Annie. Annie wasn't sure if he was serious. However, every time friends, family or Annie asked Don about their relationship - he would hint that they would one day be husband and wife.
Eventually the proposal finally came. It was not like a usual romantic, proposal. Don handled things in a more traditional way. Annie had asked Don if he would like to write a letter to her family because she was going to visit her home country for the Christmas holidays. Don didn't tell her exactly what the letter he wrote contained, until she found out from her parents. Her parents didn't believe that she didn't know what Don actually wrote in the letter. She was surprised with the contents, but very happy. Don's family was unable to visit Annie's family's house as tradition dictates, so they both agreed that Don's family would call instead. Annie's family came to visit her a month after that. Then Don came over with his family to Annie's apartment so that he could formally propose to her in front of her family. They all went out for lunch together afterwards.
I want to vanish inside your kiss... The wedding was simple and traditional, although not as small as they originally planned. But they managed. Annie and Don had family and friends who were very helpful during the wedding, and made their event incredibly special. The guests made Annie and Don feel very touched that they would all come from different places to join the couple for such an important event.
For the whole week prior to the "big day", the weather forecast predicted rain and nasty weather. However, it turned out to be sunny and slightly windy instead. The couple felt fate had reiterated its meaning that they were meant to be together and to be married on that day. It was very special.
The bride selected an exquisite strapless lace gown. It featured hand beading and a gathered back. Annie's veils and tiara were from a collection by the Group USA. Although Annie's hair was very short at that moment, she insisted on having an up-do, which Don claims made her look even more beautiful.
Don wore a black tuxedo with silver tie. Annie says this made him look even more handsome and very mature. They did not have attendants in order to keep the wedding small.
Every day I'm loving you more and more... In hindsight, on things they would do differently -- the couple explains that if they had the budget and if weather had permitted, they would have preferred an outdoor wedding instead. Annie loves water, and they would probably have held the wedding in a boat or near a lake. They also would have liked to hire a more professional photographer and videographer to capture better video images of their very important moment.
That said, the feelings regarding their wedding are wonderful for Annie and Don to recall. The bride and groom nearly forgot everyone around them as they saw each other for the first time at the altar during the ceremony. It seems as if that was the only moment in time where they felt the world belonged to both of them only.
