On the 15th of each month we feature a new and magnificent wedding! This is more than just a weekly "best site" contest with a link to the couple's wed-site. We will take you through the entire wedding process...from the planning, to the actual event, and everything in between...including details which made each big day special.

If the sunset lingers while the cathedral bells peal...
Jason and Holly met in the way that most internet savvy people would...Yahoo's Personals. Jason had posted an ad there -- and about a week later, Holly responded.

Holly had just moved to a new town to take a full time youth pastor position and hadn't really started meeting people yet. One day, while sitting in her office, she decided to go to Yahoo and type in the name of the town that she lived in and the keyword "Christian". Jason's ad just popped out at her because #1 he was a Christian, and #2 he was into music. It was later that she found out that he had also worked as a youth minister, as well! They just had too much in common.

If you find a love that's tender...
After weeks of emailing and calls, they decided on lunch one day. Holly says that after that first date, she knew that they would always be together. That was in January.

By February or March, they were already talking about marriage and how they wanted things to be done. Holly told Jason that she would have to date someone seriously for AT LEAST 1 year before she would even consider marrying them. While on a trip with close friends to Florida, on June 24th, Jason proposed.

If you find someone who's true...
They planned their wedding for March 24, 2001 because they both work for the school system and the timing was best for spring break. They would get to go on their honeymoon and then come home and still be on break. A close family friend of Holly's coordinates weddings on the side, so the choice was easy as far as catering and directing of the wedding went.

The church they chose to get married in was the church that Jason attended while growing up. They asked his former youth pastor to marry them, along with the pastor that Holly had been working for as a Children's Pastor. The church was decorated with real white roses and greenery. They placed hurricane lamps in all of the windows.

Holly wore a white satin wedding gown with intricate lace and beading on the bodice. The dress featured slightly off-the-shoulder "tank" cap sleeves, and a scoop neckline. The A-line waist swept into a traditional ballgown skirt with a dramatic chapel-length train, which was also embellished with venise lace and bead detail. The bride carried a simple round bouquet of closely-packed white roses.

Thank the Lord, he's been doubly good to you...
The reception was a time of food and fellowship and a time to see people they hadn't visited with in ages. The newlyweds left the church in Holly's grandfathers classic car and later returned to the church to get all of the gifts.

Afterwards, they returned to their apartment. The couple left the next morning for their honeymoon in Orlando, FL.
