[Dress of the Month Contest]

[Our Sixth 'Dress of the Month']
Presenting our sixth-ever "Dress of the Month Contest" winner...Linda and Alan!

Everyone loves a fairy tale wedding -- and the "Dress of the Month Contest" is pleased to present our sixth-ever winner -- Linda and Alan. Here's the description of May's winning gown:

"My wedding gown was a classic fairytale ball gown - candle light white, raw Italian silk - a Basque waist and sweetheart neckline. The sleeves sat just off my shoulders. It also had tiny embroidery - just enough so that when I danced, I sparkled. There were a million tiny buttons running up the back. I had a cathedral length veil, bordered in a silk ribbon along the edging. I wore a tiara and my hair was done in an upside-down insideout French braid which then went up into my tiara where they made a pile of curls just at the crown. It was from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" - and I was so happy with it!"

[Our Fifth 'Dress of the Month']
Presenting our fifth "Dress of the Month Contest" winner...Sharyne and Johnny!

Spring has now sprung -- and the "Dress of the Month Contest" is happy to announce our fifth winner -- Sharyne and Johnny. Here's the submitted description of April's winning gown:

"My gown was selected and purchased by my very romantic husband. It is ivory satin with a fitted & boned bodice and shoestring straps. It has a full skirt and a train that can hook up in to a bustle (for dancing!). The hem is edged in scalloped lace & pearls. I added matching lace, embroidery, pearls, and red & gold beads to the bodice and the edge of the matching shawl. My Matron of Honor made our full red petticoats. We chose red because it is so striking, is the color of love and to go with our Valentines wedding theme. I loved wearing my dress, and only wish that I could wear it out again!"

[Our Fourth 'Dress of the Month']
Presenting our fourth "Dress of the Month Contest" winner...Cindy and Aaron!

Spring is in the air -- and the "Dress of the Month Contest" is happy to announce our fourth winner -- Cindy and Aaron. Here's the submitted description of March's winning gown:

"My white satin wedding dress is made by Jessica McClintock. It has a fitted bodice with lots of vertical boning, and thin straps. It is low cut in the front with a drop in the fabric around the bustline and a touch of lace. It is also low-cut in the back, with an A-line skirt. It was a simple, yet classy cut, for my daytime wedding -- and it was also very comfortable."

So if you are sitting there thinking, "Hey! My wedding dress was beautiful too...I could win this award...no scratch that, I must win this award!" -- why not fill out the application and prove it!

The rules are few. Unlike the Dress Contest, anyone is eligible to participate in the Dress of the Month Contest. (The Dress of the Month Contest is not limited to Newlywed Web Ring members only!) We want real brides in real wedding gowns. No supermodel magazine scans or "on the rack" shots, please. Please enter the Dress of the Month Contest only once every three months. Contest winners are asked to display the award (shown here) at their web site, with a link back to this URL.
