The Dress of the Month Contest is honored to present our new October 2003 winning couple - Darlene and Collin. They were married on October 5, 2002 in British Columbia. Here is the October 2003 Dress of the Month's description as told by the bride:
"My dress is a tank top style bodice made of red crush velvet with a gold lace trim on the "V". The back of the bodice has a tie of white lace. The front of the bodice has a gold Celtic Knot decoration made of a thin gold rope hand sewn onto the velvet. The sleeves are flowing chiffon with lace edging. The skirt is a single chiffon overlay edged with lace and a two layer white silk skirt underneath. The train on the dress is 2 feet.
My favorite part of my attire is the tulle cloak which extends slightly further than the train of the dress and clasped at the neck with a white "frog". Horsehair is used to keep the shape of the hood."
