The Dress of the Month Contest is honored to present our new August 2003 winning couple - Kiki and David. They were married on May 25, 2003 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Here is the August 2003 Dress of the Month's description as told by the bride:
"Every bride's gown should reflect her own personal style. And mine certainly did. Not only that, but it was also truly made for me. Before heading out to the bridal salons, I browsed magazines and websites to get an idea of what I wanted. As soon as I saw my gown on-line I instantly knew it was the one I'd be married in. The designer, Songi, is fairly new on the scene and is based out of California. I knew it was a sign when one of the few salons he sold the gown in on the East Coast was minutes from my house. It was the one and only gown I tried on and it was my final choice.
My simple yet gorgeous gown is made of pure white silk. It is cut in an elegant sheath style, with cowl neckline and plunging back. The diagonal cut hem leads to a slight train. Delicate finishing touches include fresh water pearls, crystals and rhinestones along the neckline and hem."
